Molex recently announced the availability of Quixon Quick disconnect terminals, providing manufacturers of Marine instrument gauges and switches with highly reliable self-aligning characteristics for simple and secure connections in a variety of applications. Includes fuel gauge, depth gauge, odometer and tachometer as well as switches for ignition, blower and depth sounder.

　　Quixon Quick disconnect Terminals extend Molex's existing Avikrimp, InsulKrimp and Krimptite product lines. Because Quixon terminals have curved light columns and standard grooves, they provide low insertion force and can be fitted with industry standard sheet inserts at 6.35X0.81mm (0.250 x 0.032 in.) while maintaining high clamping force for safety. Quixon connectors also feature a backlash face cut design that tilts slightly during insertion for easy blind insertion and a horn-shaped tubular inlet for easy cable insertion.

"Quixon terminals with unique properties are the ideal solution when inserts are difficult to reach or where ergonomics is a key factor in the repetitive assembly line terminal fitting common in Marine instrument manufacturing."

Quixon quick disconnect terminals are supplied in pieces or continuously attached to Mylar tape coils to enable semi-automatic or fully automatic termination. These terminals meet UL standards when used with Molex tools. However, various industry standard machinations can also be used to crimp Quixon quick disconnect terminals.
